Jackson Hole Mountain Resort To Host 4th Annual Ski In Jeans Day
04/November/2026
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) announced today that Ski in Jeans Day returns Friday, Dec. 4, opening a December stacked with events, including Kids on Snow and WinterFest, a two-week holiday celebration running Dec. 21 through Jan. 3.
Now in its fourth year, Ski in Jeans Day has grown from a record-breaking event into a beloved December tradition for locals and visitors alike. Skiers and riders are encouraged to dig out their favorite denim and spend the day on the mountain. Lift tickets cost just $35 for the day, and a three-day lift ticket valid Dec. 4-6 costs just $199. Teton Village Sports and JH Sports will offer 50% off rental equipment for the event.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort announced the highly anticipated return of Ski in Jeans Day for its fourth edition on Dec. 5. Single-day lift access will be offered at $35, and a weekend three-day pass is priced at $199.
Throughout the day, the Western spirit will carry into après in Teton Village with mechanical bull riding, line dancing lessons, and pop-up booths from local vendors and brands. Visitors who want to make a weekend of it can save 10% on vacation rentals through Jackson Hole Resort Lodging in Teton Village, The Aspens, Teton Pines, and Jackson with a stay of three nights or more. The offer is valid for travel Dec. 3-7 and can be booked through Dec. 4 with promo code JEANS online or by calling 800-443-8613.
“Ski in Jeans started with a dream to break the world record, but it’s become one of our favorite days of the season because it belongs to the whole community,” said Ned Wonson, Vice President of Marketing at JHMR. “It kicks off a full month of events on the mountain, right when the snow really starts stacking up. From Kids on Snow to Santa dropping in from the Tram, there’s a reason for every generation to be here.”
Kids on Snow returns Dec. 11-13, and children 12 and under ski free all weekend when accompanied by a paying adult. The weekend also brings three days of free family events, open to the public. On Friday, Dec. 11, families can meet the avalanche rescue dogs that work on the mountain all winter and climb into snowcats from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Kids Ranch. On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Kids Market fills the Village Commons from noon to 4 p.m. with holiday shopping from local brands and kids outerwear makers, plus crafts, games, and face painting. Kids on Snow wraps up Sunday, Dec. 13, with sledding at the base of the Bridger Gondola from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sleds are limited, so families are encouraged to bring their own.
The holiday season officially arrives in Teton Village on Friday, Dec. 18, when the Teton Village Association lights the village tree and unveils a new art installation.
Running Dec. 21 through Jan. 3, WinterFest brings a family event to Teton Village nearly every day of the holidays. It kicks off Dec. 22 with cookie decorating and gingerbread house building at Cafe 6311, where each house joins a growing gingerbread village. Families can go sledding at the base of the Bridger Gondola on Dec. 23. On Christmas Eve, Santa trades his sleigh for the Aerial Tram and drops in for photos and a holiday happy hour at Tram Dock. On Christmas morning, he’s back on skis for a family scavenger hunt while the Teton Village Association hosts tree decorating. A family paint and sip follows on Dec. 27, then a ski boot race on Dec. 29 where costumes are encouraged, and the avalanche dogs and snowcats return to the Kids Ranch on Dec. 30. The Glow Worm Parade and fireworks light up New Year’s Eve, and a waffle eating contest tests appetites on New Year’s Day. WinterFest wraps up Jan. 2, when kids get to smash the gingerbread village they helped build.
JHMR is proud to partner with Range Rover, Coca-Cola, Monster Energy, Mammut, Kiehl’s, BUFF©, Sentient Jet, YETI, Turtlebox, GoPro, GORE-TEX® Brand, Smartwool, and POC for the 2026/2027 Winter Season.
