The vibe and spirits are sky high to counteract the nippy low temperatures in resort today as the countdown speeds towards the kick off celebrations on the King’s Birthday weekend on Sat 6 June.
Tradespeople busily completing projects had a slippery drive to work this morning on snow covered roads with snow falling to as low as Merrijig in the valley.
Mt Buller is ready for a great season of sliding, summit views, shared chairlift rides and quality time with friends and family from June through to October. Lift passes, accommodation packages, lessons and rental are all on sale online and bookings are rolling in from many Australians seeking a winter break close to home this year.
Mt Buller’s snowmaking team are taking advantage of the cold weather to take snowmaking systems for a test run today in the sub-zero conditions and the all-weather snow factories have been in operation since late April creating precious stockpiles of snow to guarantee skiing from the start of the season.
