Schneehoehen.de announces winner of public vote for most popular ski resorts of the winter.

Around 40,000 winter sports enthusiasts cast their votes in the Top Ski Resorts Awards 2025/26 on Schneehoehen.de/.at/.ch, thus choosing the most popular ski resorts in the Alps. Ski resorts were recognized in several categories for their special offerings – from the best snow park and the most convincing value for money to the outstanding culinary experience in the mountain huts.
Schneehoehen.de is one of the leading winter sports portals in German-speaking countries and offers comprehensive information on ski resorts, ski vacations, snow depths, weather conditions, and much more. With its annual Top Ski Resort Award, the portal allows winter sports enthusiasts to choose their favorite ski resorts and recognize outstanding achievements in the industry.
The Seiser Alm (ITA) was voted the best ski resort overall, securing the top spot as the overall winner and most popular ski resort of the 2025/26 season. The 3 Zinnen Dolomites (ITA) and Arlberg (AUT) ski resorts came in second and third place, respectively.
Val Gardena (ITA) impressed voters with its challenging slopes and was awarded the title of best ski resort for advanced and expert skiers.
Users of www.schneehoehen.de/.at/.ch chose the well-known Austrian ski resorts of Arlberg and Ischgl for second and third place.
For the best slopes and lifts in the 2025/26 season, the Ischgl ski resort was awarded first place, followed by the Three Peaks Dolomites (second place) and Kronplatz (third place). South Tyrol's largest snowpark on the Seiser Alm was awarded best snowpark, followed by the Superpark Planai in Schladming and the Mountopolis Penken Park in Mayrhofen (Austria).
The ski resorts of Skigastein (AUT) impressed users with their diverse gastronomic offerings and received the highest award in the category “Best Hut & Gastronomy Offer”, closely followed by the ski resorts of Obereggen (ITA) and Obertauern (AUT).
The Zillertal Arena (AUT) was voted the most family-friendly ski resort. According to users of the snow height survey, the Gitschberg Jochtal (ITA) and Arosa Lenzerheide (SUI) ski resorts are also very well suited for families.
The Arlberg region (AUT) impressed with its off-piste opportunities and took first place as the best freeride area, followed by the Silvretta Montafon (AUT) and the Damüls-Mellau-Faschina ski area (AUT).
The Seiser Alm in South Tyrol (ITA) even won a third award, being named the best cross-country skiing area ahead of the Three Peaks Dolomites region (ITA) and Hochkössen (AUT).
Garmisch-Classic (GER) impressed winter sports enthusiasts with its excellent value for money and secured first place in this category, followed by Nebelhorn in Oberstdorf (GER) and Kronplatz (ITA).
The Zell am See-Kaprun region (AUT) was recognized for its sustainable initiatives, followed by Karersee - Carezza Dolomites (ITA) and Arosa Lenzerheide (SUI).
