Säntis-Schwebebahn AG looks back on a generally successful 2025 financial year. Despite continued challenging conditions, the company achieved improved results. Simultaneously, the implementation of the major "Säntis 2026" project and key strategic decisions were central to the company's activities. With targeted investments, forward-looking management development, and a growing shareholder base, Säntis-Schwebebahn AG is well-positioned for the future.
The financial year at a glance
The year 2025 began with an excellent first half of the year. Thanks to ideal weather conditions and effective marketing measures, very high demand was generated. Even though the summer subsequently proved changeable, the weather fluctuations were partially offset by established events and targeted promotions.
The end of the year was a particular highlight: While fog often prevailed in the lowlands, guests on the Schwägalp and Säntis enjoyed brilliant sunshine, leading to very encouraging demand in the final weeks of the year. Overall, Säntis-Schwebebahn AG looks back on a successful financial year.

Our hotel and restaurant on the Schwägalp will remain open for our guests. Throughout the summer, we offer attractive events and experiences on the Schwägalp with special activities.
Renewal of the Board of Directors
With the opening of the new Säntis cable car, a new multi-year strategic period begins. The Board of Directors has therefore decided to accelerate the announced renewal process and implement targeted modernization.
In the first phase, two long-standing members of the Board, Daniela Merz and Gavin Schmid, will step down at the 2026 Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors is proposing Isabel Schorer from St. Gallen, a young entrepreneur, politician, and communications and marketing expert, for election to the Board.
