Roswitha Stadlober remains FESA President

At the ordinary general meeting of the Federation of European Ski & Snowboard Associations (FESA), Roswitha Stadlober was confirmed as president for another two years.

Unanimous re-election

The Federation of European Ski & Snowboard Associations (FESA) held its ordinary general assembly on May 6, 2026, within the framework of the FIS Technical Committees in Portorož (SLO) – under the banner of continuity, personnel renewals and strategic strengthening.

"FESA is on a very good path – we have become more professional, we are growing and we are creating real added value for European youth sport."

Roswitha Stadlober (AUT) was unanimously re-elected as President for another two years, and Dr. Franz Steinle (GER) as Vice President. Wojciech Gumny (POL), Vice President of the Polish Ski Federation, was newly elected to the Management Board. Dr. József Fürstner (HUN) left the board – FESA extends its sincere thanks to him for his dedication. In the Marketing Group, Melanja Korošec (SLO), CSO of the Elan Group, takes over as Chair from Jožko Križan .

FIS and FESA: A partnership on equal terms

FIS CEO Urs Lehmann attended the meeting as a guest and, together with President Stadlober, emphasized the open, collaborative exchange between the two associations. A first joint project was the FESA & FIS Speed ​​Academy in Sölden (April 2026). Further events are planned for the 2026/27 season in Val Gardena, Sölden, and Switzerland.

Growth & Highlights

“FESA is on a very good path – we have become more professional, we are growing and we are creating real added value for European youth sport. We will continue on this path with full energy and conviction,” emphasized the unanimously re-elected President Roswitha Stadlober .

Around 10,000 young athletes competed in FESA competitions during the 2025/26 season. With the approval of the first Erasmus+ project and the acquisition of initial sponsors, further funding has been secured for FESA. Additional partnerships are essential for the long-term financing of youth sports.

Dr. Franz Steinle also presented initial ideas for European Championships in ski jumping – with the members' wish to extend this format to other disciplines.
