Oberalp Group Diversifies Distribution Portfolio with Diadem and Blackroll Partnerships

The Oberalp Group is significantly broadening its international footprint, announcing new distribution agreements with U.S.-based racket sports brand Diadem and Swiss recovery expert Blackroll.

The move, set to take effect in mid-May, signals a strategic pivot into high-growth sectors including the "pickleball boom" and the burgeoning market for athlete recovery and muscle regeneration.

Expanding the European Reach

Under the new agreements, the Oberalp Group will manage the distribution of Diadem across twenty European markets. Simultaneously, the group will take over the distribution of Blackroll specifically for the Italian market.

Notably, this partnership marks a digital milestone for the company: it will be the first time Oberalp manages the e-commerce operations for its distribution partners, moving beyond traditional wholesale and retail models.

Addressing Modern Sports Trends

The selection of these two brands highlights Oberalp’s intent to capitalize on specific consumer shifts:

  • Pickleball & Racket Sports: Through Diadem, Oberalp gains a foothold in one of the world's fastest-growing sports, particularly as racket sports see a resurgence in popularity across Europe.

  • Recovery & Wellness: With Blackroll, the group taps into the "active recovery" trend. As athletes become more focused on longevity and muscle health, tools for regeneration have transitioned from niche medical products to essential sports gear.

A Growing House of Brands

The Bolzano-based company is already a powerhouse in the mountain sports sector. These two new additions join a robust portfolio that balances house brands with international distribution partners:

By integrating these brands, Oberalp is evolving from a mountain-centric specialist into a multi-segment sports distributor. The addition of e-commerce capabilities for partner brands suggests a more integrated, data-driven approach to distribution that aligns with modern shopping habits.

"The product range is being expanded to include segments that serve the athlete's entire lifestyle," the company noted. As of mid-May, European consumers can expect to see a more streamlined availability of Diadem’s high-performance rackets and Blackroll’s iconic recovery tools through Oberalp's expanding network.
