Nidecker Group Taps OneTurn as Strategic EMEA Partner for Iconic Skate Brands

The Nidecker Group has announced a major strategic shift for its skateboarding portfolio, naming OneTurn as the lead distribution and regional operations partner for etnies, éS, and Emerica across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

The agreement marks a significant expansion for OneTurn, which already manages a high-profile roster including Volcom, Spyder, and the Aspen Collection. Under the new deal, OneTurn will oversee wholesale operations, e-commerce, regional marketing, and apparel development for the three legendary skate brands.

While OneTurn takes the lead on regional operations, the Nidecker Group—the family-owned industry giant founded in 1887—will retain full ownership of the brands. Led by brothers Henry, Xavier, and Cédric Nidecker, the group acquired the former Sole Technology brands to anchor its expansion into the global skateboarding market.

“These brands sit at the heart of skate footwear, and we are deeply committed to building them for the long term,” the Nidecker brothers said in a joint statement. “Our partnership with OneTurn sharpens that focus—allowing us to lead product and global marketing, while OneTurn drives accelerated growth across the EMEA region.”

Headquartered in Anglet, France, OneTurn was founded by industry veterans Joost Grootswagers and Antoine Lanusse. The company has built a reputation for its specialized platform that blends wholesale expertise with robust digital and retail operations.

Grootswagers, whose team at OneTurn emerged from the foundations of Liberated Brands Europe, emphasized a commitment to the core skate community. “These are authentic skate brands with real heritage, and they fit naturally alongside our existing portfolio,” Grootswagers said. “Our priority is to support retailers, strengthen local market execution, and build long-term relevance for the brands across Europe.”

The move has received the blessing of Pierre-André Senizergues, the legendary founder of etnies, éS, and Emerica. Senizergues expressed "full confidence" in the transition, noting Grootswagers’ deep roots in skate culture.

“This partnership ensures continuity and confidence for retailers, partners, and consumers, while staying true to the skateboarding heritage that has defined these brands from the beginning,” Senizergues added.

The collaboration is set to hit the market officially with Fall 2026 deliveries. The partnership will then transition into the Spring 2027 pre-order season, providing a seamless handover for retailers and partners across the EMEA territory.

By combining Nidecker’s global brand vision with OneTurn’s regional operational muscle, the partnership aims to elevate the presence of the "Big Three" skate brands while maintaining their status as cornerstones of the skateboarding community.
