La Sportiva Unveils Major Brand Overhaul Ahead of Centenary Milestone

Renowned Italian mountain sports equipment manufacturer La Sportiva has announced a comprehensive revamp of its global brand identity. Revealed during its recent international sales meeting for the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, the refresh represents the company’s most significant visual and strategic evolution in approximately two decades.

The extensive rebranding strategy includes a modernized logo, a new global communications platform, a fresh tagline, and an updated retail concept—all designed to position the heritage brand for its upcoming 100th anniversary in 2028.

Modernizing a Mountain Legacy

The centerpiece of the visual refresh is the redesigned logo. While the company is embracing a more contemporary aesthetic, it remains deeply rooted in its heritage.

  • The Icon: The stylized silhouette of the Cimon della Palla mountain—a nod to the brand’s origins in the Val di Fiemme—will remain a core element.

  • The Typography: The lettering and overall layout have been streamlined and modernized, specifically optimized for high visibility across digital platforms and mobile applications.

  • The Rollout: Consumers will begin seeing the new brand identity roll out progressively starting in the Fall/Winter 2026 season. The transition will eventually encompass all brand touchpoints, including upcoming marketing campaigns, digital channels, product packaging, and physical retail spaces.

Balancing Evolution with DNA

The strategic shift aims to respect the brand's core mountaineering community while broadening its appeal to a new era of outdoor enthusiasts.

Lorenzo Delladio, President and CEO of La Sportiva, emphasized that the upcoming centenary is a springboard for tomorrow rather than just a celebration of the past:

"The 100th anniversary is an opportunity to shape the next 100 years. Continuity does not mean stagnation, but rather further development in line with who you are."

Giulia Delladio, representing the fourth generation of the founding entrepreneurial family, echoed this sentiment regarding the brand's cross-generational appeal:

"We wanted to create a seamless evolution that preserves our DNA while appealing to new generations of outdoor enthusiasts."

Retail Refresh and Infrastructure Expansion

Beyond digital assets and product logos, the rebranding will heavily influence La Sportiva's physical footprint. The company's corporate stores and specialized sales areas are slated for a design overhaul to align with the new retail concept, ensuring a cohesive customer experience globally.

Simultaneously, La Sportiva is reinforcing its commitment to its Italian roots. The company confirmed ongoing investments in its primary location, including a major expansion of its corporate headquarters in Ziano di Fiemme, which is officially scheduled to open its doors in 2028 to coincide with the centenary celebrations.
