Kurt Pröglhöf New Head of Catering at Lech Bergbahnen AG

The Supervisory Board of Lech Bergbahnen AG has appointed Kurt Pröglhöf as the new Head of Gastronomy and member of the Management Board, effective April 13th.

Kurt Pröglhöf brings extensive and practical experience in the gastronomy and hotel industry. He comes from a wine-growing family in Perchtoldsdorf, Lower Austria, and holds a master's degree in viticulture and oenology. During his career, he built his own catering company and managed several restaurants. In recent years, he has also worked in the hotel industry, focusing on administration, finance, and human resources – most recently in the upscale segment. "This combination was exactly what we were looking for: He knows the restaurant business inside and out and can simultaneously bridge the gap to the company's business departments – essentially building a bridge between the restaurant managers on-site and the internal organizational units," explains Klaus Nußbaumer, CEO of Lech Bergbahnen AG.

In his new role, Pröglhöf will assume a key liaison position between the operational restaurant managers and the company's organizational units. He says of his new position: "I'm really looking forward to this new challenge at Lech Bergbahnen. I'm particularly drawn to the combination of high-quality gastronomy and an alpine setting, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with the local teams. I previously knew Lech am Arlberg as a guest – now I'll be experiencing it from a completely different perspective." He will be supported by his deputy, Jasna Lanzinger, who is also new to the company and has many years of experience in the industry. Among other positions, she worked for Stubaier Bergbahnen AG.

Lech Bergbahnen AG was formed from the merger of Skilifte Lech Ing. Bildstein GmbH, Rüfikopf Seilbahn AG, and Rud-Alpe GmbH. In addition to its 14 cable car systems, the company also operates four restaurants (Balmalp, Rud-Alpe, Rüfikopf Panoramarestaurant, and Schlegelkopf Restaurant) and the Bistro Mila. Lech Bergbahnen AG employs approximately 250 people in winter and 110 in summer, 70 of whom are year-round employees.
