Valle Nevado Unveils $3.3 Million in Upgrades for Winter 2026 Season

Valle Nevado will welcome skiers and snowboarders for the 2026 winter season beginning June 19 through October 4, conditions permitting. The season includes more than $3 million USD in capital improvements to enhance lodging options, expand terrain access, and elevate the guest experience.

Significant updates this winter include the addition of the Aconcagua Ski Residences and the continued integration of Valle Nevado and neighboring La Parva Ski Resort, allowing hotel guests to access both mountains on a single lift ticket or eligible season pass. The resort has also made several operational improvements for the 2026 season, including expanded snowmaking, lift upgrades, new grooming equipment, and more.

“For the 2026 season, we’re introducing major upgrades that expand the overall mountain experience for our guests,” said Dominique Rudloff, General Manager of Valle Nevado. “From new slopeside accommodations to improved connectivity across the mountain, these investments continue to strengthen Valle Nevado’s position as a premier destination for skiers and riders traveling to the Andes.”

Aconcagua Ski Residences Debut

New for winter 2026, Valle Nevado will debut Aconcagua Ski Residences, a new collection of 39 apartment-style accommodations designed for families and small groups seeking additional space and flexibility during their stay.

The residences accommodate two to seven guests and feature fully equipped living spaces paired with the services and amenities of a full-service mountain resort, including daily breakfast, 24-hour concierge service, internal resort transportation, and access to Valle Nevado’s heated pool, spa, and fitness center.

Expanded Mountain Access with La Parva

Guests staying at Valle Nevado’s hotels and Aconcagua Ski Residences will have access to the Valle Nevado–La Parva interconnected ticket, allowing them to ski and ride both resorts as part of a single mountain experience. The offering significantly expands the terrain linking the two areas into one of the largest ski domains in the central Andes, with more than 4,000 acres of terrain, 87 trails, and 30 lifts.

Additional Resort Improvements

Additional upgrades for the 2026 season include expanded snowmaking coverage, modernization work on the Gondola and Prado lifts, and new grooming equipment to support consistent slope conditions throughout the winter.

The resort has also enhanced its rental program with updated equipment and technology to improve the overall rental experience.

Alongside these new developments, Valle Nevado’s signature winter programming includes themed family weeks, culinary and wine events, and wellness-focused retreats, with a full calendar to be announced ahead of the season. Lift operations are scheduled daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., conditions permitting. Reservations and seasonal packages are available at www.vallenevado.com.

Located high in the Chilean Andes at a base elevation of 9,925 feet, Valle Nevado is South America’s premier ski destination, offering more than 2,200 skiable acres and exceptional high-altitude snow conditions. For 2026, full lift and ticket interconnectivity with La Parva Ski Resort expands access to approximately 4,376 combined acres, creating one of the largest ski experiences in the Southern Hemisphere. The resort features three hotels, the new slopeside Aconcagua Ski Residences, a vibrant culinary scene, and guided heli-ski excursions with vertical drops of up to 5,000 feet. From June through October, Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective, and Power Pass holders can enjoy Valle Nevado’s legendary sunsets and endless winter. Children 12 and under and adults 75 and older ski free, with no blackout dates.
