Spring in Les Arcs: the ideal season to experience the mountains differently
05/March/2026
Contrary to popular belief, the ski season doesn’t end in March. In Les Arcs, the return of sunny days is one of the best times to discover the Alpine environment from a new perspective.
Generous snow cover, milder weather conditions, manageable visitor numbers and a friendly atmosphere all come together to extend the pleasures of skiing and fully enjoy the resort.
With 70% of the ski area located above 2,000 metres and a summit rising to 3,226 metres, Les Arcs benefits from quality snow cover through April 25. For more than ten years, the resort has guaranteed a late-April closing with ski-in/ski-out access, ensuring optimal conditions even as spring settles in the valley.
Les Arcs: not just about the skiing
In spring, skiing in Les Arcs is enjoyed both on and off the slopes. Panoramic terraces become true social hubs, inviting visitors to slow down and savour the moment while taking in exceptional views.
From the Balcon sur les Nuages at 2,545 meters to the panoramic terrace in Vallandry at 2,130 meters, as well as the Balcon sur la Vanoise, Varet, Carreley, Comborcière and the Aiguille Rouge, the resort offers a concentration of spectacular viewpoints across every site. Each is an invitation to enjoy lunch or a pitstop with the Mont Blanc massif as a backdrop.
And because the mountains are not just about skiing, Les Arcs offers a wide range of activities. Tobogganing, swimming, adventure courses, laser rifle shooting and ziplining all enrich the stay and provide alternative ways to experience the resort’s unique atmosphere.
Les Arcs: a time to party & enjoy the events
Spring is also a time for celebration. In Les Arcs, ski days extend into relaxed après-ski moments thanks to numerous events held both on the slopes and throughout the resort. It’s a unique experience that perfectly captures the fun and slightly offbeat spirit of spring skiing.
Among the highlights is the Electronik Peak Festival, from March 25 to 27 — an event combining electronic music with a carefully curated lineup and the thrill of skiing. This year’s theme is an ode to friendship, celebrating love, music and reunions with three unique evenings in collaboration with local label Akta Record, renowned Parisian house label La Groove and Automatic Events.

Another must-attend event this spring season:
La Folie Douce celebrates its closing weekend from April 3 to 5, blending electronic music, gastronomy and high-altitude festivities. A prestigious lineup will set the pace, featuring Nina Kraviz on Friday, Folamour on Saturday and Folie Douce Records on Sunday.

To continue the momentum throughout April, Les Arcs also hosts an event that is as original as it is impressive: Les Arcs Winter Festi’Slack, from April 9 to 12.
Held at the natural site of Deux Têtes in Arc 1600, the event offers an exceptional setting with breathtaking views over the Haute Tarentaise Valley and the Mont Blanc massif.
In a friendly and colourful atmosphere, beginners, enthusiasts and internationally renowned highliners — including Alexian Masson and Louise Lenoble — come together to share their discipline and push the limits of balance. Between aerial performances and moments of exchange, the Winter Festi’Slack stands out as one of the highlights of spring in Les Arcs.
