Rab Partners with Quebec Mountaineer Charles Page

British mountain and outdoor brand Rab (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) is proud to announce a new partnership with Charles Page, a 38-year-old high-altitude mountaineer from Drummondville, Quebec, who is preparing for his most ambitious expedition yet. With this partnership, Rab underlines their commitment to the global mountain people community and to supporting their presence in Canada.

Charles, known for his performance, courage, and resilience, is believed to be the first person in Quebec history to summit five peaks over 8,000 meters. In just two years, he stood on top of Manaslu, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and K2.

This spring, Charles will attempt Annapurna I (8,091 m) and Kangchenjunga (8,586 m) in Nepal. If successful, he could become the first Quebecer to summit Annapurna and potentially the first Canadian male to reach the top five highest mountains on Earth.

Charles uses his expeditions as a platform for meaningful social impact. An active supporter of Quebec’s Enfant Soleil Foundation, he has raised over CAD $175,000 to date. He regularly visits schools across Quebec to share his passion and inspire youth through talks about resilience and achievement, and serves as an ambassador for the Ste-Croix/Heriot Hospital Foundation’s Great Challenges events, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community

“Charles embodies everything we value in our athlete partnerships,” says Sara Poutanen, Rab’s Marketing Manager for Canada. “His technical ability is exceptional, but what truly resonates is his commitment to passing on his passion for the mountains to the next generation and giving back to the mountain people community.”

Charles comments: “Becoming a Rab Athlete is something I once would have thought impossible, just like climbing the big peaks I used to dream about. This journey has taught me that self-belief and commitment can take you further than you ever imagine. I have deep respect for the Sherpas I climb with. On these 8000-meter peaks, nothing is achieved alone. Mountaineering is all about teamwork. Today, I’m proud to join Rab. Teaming up with a brand that truly shares my values means a lot. Grateful for the journey so far, proud of the person I’ve become, and excited for what comes next.”
