Pats Peak To Host Annual Pond Skim Contest on Saturday, March 14, 2026
13/March/2026
Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s favorite snowsports destination, will celebrate spring with its annual Pond Skim Contest on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Sponsored by Sparkling Ice, this crowd-pleasing tradition invites skiers and snowboarders to test their skills (and bravery!) as they attempt to skim across a specially constructed pond. Some will glide triumphantly to the other side, while others may find themselves taking a refreshing dip in the icy water.
The contest brings plenty of laughs and cheers from the sidelines, with awards presented for Best Costume, Best Splash, and Best Skim. From outrageous outfits to impressive runs across the water, creativity and showmanship are all part of the fun.
