feratel AI plus offers Tourism AI with verified destination data

New AI agent solutions access exclusively curated content from the destination and are delivered across channels and in accordance with the brand.

At the International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB), feratelAIplus presented its agent solutions for tourist destinations. The systems combine large language models with verified destination data.

At its core is a data hub that consolidates structured tourism content (e.g., accommodations, experiences, events, routes and tours, restaurants, leisure facilities, snow and slope data, prices, tickets, public transport information, and much more). The data originates directly from the destinations' operational systems and is continuously updated. Changes are therefore immediately available across all connected channels. The language model handles only the linguistic formulation of the response, while the content itself remains under control.

This gives guests direct access to tourist information via voice, for example through websites or digital concierge solutions. The results can be displayed in a structured format or output as a spoken response.

The solution is not designed as an external chatbot, but rather as an integral part of a destination's existing digital offerings. Its design and user interface are aligned with the destination's branding. This creates an additional interaction channel for guests within their familiar digital environment.

feratel CEO Dr. Markus Schröcksnadel sees artificial intelligence in tourism on its way to becoming a standard technology: "What's crucial is less the language model itself than the quality of the underlying data," Product Manager Thomas Angerer emphasizes "that the systems work exclusively with verified live data" and AI expert Prof. Dr. Roman Egger observes a clear shift in usage: "Guests increasingly want to ask for information directly instead of researching it themselves."

Artificial intelligence offers real benefits in tourism primarily where brand-compliant applications meet a reliable data foundation. Only with structured, up-to-date information can interactive systems function reliably. Once this foundation is integrated, AI transforms from a digital tool into an integral part of the tourism infrastructure.
