Axess and the Austrian Olympic Committee Celebrates A decade of trust

Since the 2016 Rio Olympics, Axess has been a proud and reliable partner of the Austrian Olympic Committee, providing access solutions for the Austria House throughout the event. This partnership goes beyond traditional ticketing solutions – it represents the highest standards of quality, precision, and professionalism in every step of the accreditation and access management process.

For the 2026 Winter Games, the Austria House was strategically positioned at the heart of exciting competitions such as downhill, giant slalom, slalom, as well as bobsleigh, skeleton, and curling events. From February 6th to 22nd, Cortina d'Ampezzo hosted the Games and showcased Axess solutions, including intelligent software functions to optimize all visitor management processes. Guests received their tickets at the Axess SMART POS system, where the Axess SMART PRINTER 600 printed classic barcode cards.

For ticket validation, several Axess SMART GATE 600 units were installed. This reimagined gate is equipped with the Axess SUITE READER 600, an advanced ticket scanner that supports barcode, NFC, and RFID technologies and can be optionally supplemented with a camera for facial recognition. Thanks to the reader's individually adjustable swivel and tilt functions, visitors benefited from a comfortable and intuitive access experience. The gate's elegant design blended seamlessly into the event environment, while its modular construction allowed for flexible adaptation to the event – ​​including a mobile setup with the stylish FLAP 600 Glass barrier module.

In areas with limited space where access gates could not be installed, mobile Axess HANDHELD devices enabled ticket control.
