Szczyrk Mountain Resort Poland: €2.3 million investment in Alpine Coaster

This year's summer holiday season at Szczyrk Mountain Resort kicks off with the grand opening of another major new attraction for visitors. The "Salamandra Alpine Coaster" is the most modern year-round alpine coaster (gravity coaster) in the Beskid Mountains, offering a thrilling blend of adrenaline, spectacular scenery, and safe family fun.

The new attraction was built on the site of a former ski lift, with the starting point located on the picturesque Hala Skrzyczeńska. Thrill-seekers can look forward to an exceptionally dynamic track almost 750 meters long. The descent is a true rollercoaster of emotions: the sleds race just above the treetops before soaring up to 15 meters above the ground moments later. The route boasts a number of spectacular elements, including 360-degree and 720-degree loops, as well as a series of wide curves and rapid changes of direction.

Speed ​​under control and breathtaking views

Although the Salamandra Alpine Coaster can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, the speed can be individually regulated by each rider via the integrated braking system. This allows the experience to be anything from an adrenaline-pumping downhill ride to a relaxing panoramic journey with some of the most beautiful mountain views in the entire Beskid region.

The two-seater sleds, inspired in style and color by the fire salamander, are ideal for families and couples alike. The project was designed and implemented by Wiegand – the world's leading manufacturer of alpine coasters and summer toboggan runs, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and technology.

Security at the highest level

The creators of the attraction have paid attention to every detail:

• It is physically impossible for passengers to unbuckle their seatbelts during the ride.

• An intelligent distance control system automatically maintains a safe distance between the sleds, completely eliminating the risk of collisions on the track.
