Michelle Gisin & Luca De Aliprandini, 35, celebrate dream wedding at Lake Garda

One of alpine skiing’s longest-standing and most beloved couples has officially tied the knot.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, Swiss Olympic champion Michelle Gisin, 32, and Italian giant slalom specialist Luca De Aliprandini, 35, celebrated a picturesque dream wedding on the sun-drenched shores of Lake Garda in northern Italy.

The couple simultaneously announced their marriage via a joint Instagram post featuring a beautiful snapshot from their big day, paired with a simple, definitive caption: "Forever."

A Twelve-Year Love Story

The wedding marks a beautiful milestone for the ski circuit’s ultimate power couple, whose relationship has spanned over a decade.

  • How They Met: The duo first crossed paths in 2014 during a summer training camp in Ushuaia, Argentina.

  • Moving In: After four years of long-distance dating, they took a major step in 2018 by moving into a house together in Riva del Garda, the very location where they would exchange their vows.

  • The Engagement: Exactly two years prior to their wedding, De Aliprandini proposed to Gisin in June 2024 right against the backdrop of their lakeside home town.

Gisin has never hidden her deep affection for her longtime partner, famously stating in past interviews, "Luca is 200 percent the right one."

Outpouring of Love from the Ski World

Though the couple opted for a somewhat more intimate church ceremony as Gisin continues to recover from a serious crash suffered last winter, the celebration drew immense joy from their peers.

The ski community immediately flooded their social media announcement with warm wishes. Among the numerous sports stars sending their congratulations were former Austrian world champion Anna Veith, Swedish Olympic gold medalist Sara Hector, German rising star Emma Aicher, and Norwegian technical specialist Atle Lie McGrath.

With the wedding bells officially behind them, the newlywed "Mr. and Mrs." are reportedly planning a honeymoon in London to take in some tennis action at Wimbledon before refocusing their efforts on training for the upcoming 2026–27 World Cup season.
