French sports eyewear brand Julbo has announced a significant expansion of its operations in the German market, appointing three new specialists to its regional sales and marketing divisions.
The new recruits—Dennie Wagner, Clara Benders, and James Littlejohn—have been brought on board to strengthen Julbo’s footprint across both the sports and optical retail sectors while deepening its localized partnerships with retailers.
A Strategic Push into Germany
The expansion underlines the growing importance of the German market for the historic eyewear brand, which was founded in 1888 in the French Jura region and operates under the Peugeot Frères Industrie Group umbrella.
"Germany is a strategically very important market for Julbo, where we are systematically expanding our activities in the sports and optics retail sector. With the three new team members, we are gaining experienced professionals who ideally complement our sales and marketing structure and further strengthen our proximity to the market." said Bertrand Ragonneau-Flemming, International Sales Manager at Julbo
Meet the New Team Members
The new additions bring a wealth of outdoor, sports, and optical industry experience to Julbo’s German operations:
Dennie Wagner (Key Account Manager Sport Germany): Leading the charge since January 2026, Wagner is tasked with managing key sports accounts and major sporting goods retailers across Bavaria. He brings a robust industry background to the role, having previously held positions at Salewa, Arnold Sports, Viking Footwear, and RTI Sports.
Clara Benders (Sports Marketing Specialist Germany): Joining the team in May 2026, Benders has taken over responsibility for managing events, coordinating athlete and sponsorship activities, and expanding Julbo's brand network within the mountain sports community.
James Littlejohn (Account Manager Optics Bavaria): Also arriving in May 2026, Littlejohn is a former Oakley employee who will leverage his specialized industry background to manage Bavarian optical retailers and key optical accounts.
By positioning specialized managers across both sports retail and traditional optician channels, Julbo aims to aggressively capture market share and solidify its premium reputation among German outdoor enthusiasts and athletes.
