Clément Noël marries childhood sweetheart, Julia Bonhomme, in a romantic weekend ceremony.

Wedding bells have rung in the alpine skiing world as 2022 Olympic Slalom Champion Clément Noël married his childhood sweetheart, Julia Bonhomme, in a romantic weekend ceremony.
The star-studded celebration served as the beautiful culmination of a decade-long love story, bringing together several prominent names from the FIS Alpine World Cup circuit to celebrate the French skiing icon.
From High School Desk to the Altar
Noel and Bonhomme first met as teenagers on the benches of their high school in the Vosges region. Having navigated the intense pressures of elite athletic stardom together for over ten years, the couple officially sealed their relationship in front of family, friends, and teammates.
The summer weather cooperated perfectly for the dream wedding, providing a picturesque backdrop as the newlywed couple sped away from the venue in an immaculate, stark-white Porsche.
Ski Circuit Well Represented
The French technician's teammates and rivals were quick to share highlights of the romantic day on social media, giving fans a glimpse into the festivities.
Among the high-profile guests in attendance were:
Alexis Pinturault: Noel's longtime French tech teammate and former Overall World Cup champion, who shared photos of a banquet venue overflowing with floral arrangements.
AJ Ginnis: The history-making Greek slalom specialist and World Championship medalist.
Hugo Desgrippes & Evan Klufts: Fellow French alpine racers who captured some of the day's most intimate, celebratory moments.
"Exhaustingly Perfect"
While Noel is known on the World Cup tour for his quiet composure and razor-sharp focus between the slalom gates, his new wife revealed a few years ago that this intense drive applies to all aspects of his life.
In an amusing past interview, Bonhomme candidly described her partner's relentless work ethic when they were younger:
"He's exhausting, he's just too perfect. He worked hard for his high school diploma, sitting at my desk in the bedroom nonstop from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. When he sets his mind to something, he sees it through completely."
That trademark laser-focus has clearly paid off—not just on the icy slopes of the Olympic stage, but in his personal life as he steps into this next chapter with his dream woman during the summer offseason.
Noël is from the Remiremont commune in Vosges, in northeastern France.
In 2015, he joined the France B team and made his first World Cup debut in November 2016 at Levi, Finland. He became Champion of France of Slalom Elite with Lélex on March 26, 2017, and scored his first points in the World Cup by taking 20th place in the slalom at Val-d'Isère on December 10, 2017. He gained his first top ten by placing eighth in the slalom at Kitzbühel on 21 January 2018. A few weeks later, on 7 February, he won the slalom at the Junior World Championships at Davos, Switzerland.
Noël competed in his first Olympic Games at Pyeongchang in 2018 and just missed a medal, coming in fourth in the slalom. He gained his first World Cup podium eleven months later with a runner-up finish in the slalom at Adelboden on 13 January 2019. A week later he won his first race, a slalom in Wengen. At his first World Championships in February, he was seventh in the slalom.
