11/June/2026
South Lake Tahoe marks America's 250th anniversary with the renowned "Lights on the Lake" Fourth of July fireworks display, one of the largest shows in the western United States. The 20-minute spectacle lights up the lake from 9:45 p.m., accompanied by a synchronised soundtrack, with viewing available from beaches, boats, lakeside trails and resorts around the shoreline.
Sporting highlights continue with the 37th American Century Championship (8–12 July) at Edgewood Tahoe, one of the world's leading celebrity golf tournaments. More than 80 stars from sport and entertainment are expected to take part, including Stephen Curry, Charles Barkley, Tony Romo and Miles Teller, alongside a host of current and former professional athletes. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport, cycling routes and local shuttle services to access the event.
