Burke Mountain's Bike Park to Open Saturday, June 6
01/June/2026
Burke Mountain Resort is gearing up for its opening day of mountain bike season, set to open this weekend on Saturday, June 6. For the first two weekends, the Burke Bike Park will open Saturdays and Sundays only. Starting Thursday, June 18, it will operate Thursday - Sunday from 10 am - 6 pm.
The Bike Park at Burke offers lift-accessed and cross-country mountain biking for all ability levels. From singletrack to machine-excavated flow and jump trails, the resort features 24 trails across 25 miles of terrain, where three of its trails can be accessed from the summit, offering 2,115 feet of vertical biking. Burke’s Bike Park has direct access into the world-renowned Kingdom Trail network, featuring more than 100 miles of additional singletrack biking.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2026
New for this season, Burke is making significant investments in its mountain biking experience, with world-renowned trail design and build firm Gravity Logic now underway on a comprehensive master plan for future trail development. Riders can also expect a major rebuild of Jester, transforming the mountain’s signature jump trail into the true black diamond experience it was always intended to be, while maintaining a blue-rated final segment with optional black features. In partnership with Kingdom Trails, Burke Mountain will also re-establish the Parrs Yard and Wilder Way connections, improve drainage and ride quality on Kirby Connector, and deliver substantial updates to Enchanted and Merlin to create a smoother, more consistent blue trail experience from top to bottom.
A brand new demo fleet of Transition Bikes will be offered for kids and adults. New for this year, our fleet will include E-Bikes and will be available to Kingdom Trails users.
Burke will also offer Bike Park 101 lessons intended for new riders, covering body position, braking, and reading a line on lift-accessed trails. From there, a certified instructor will take customers on a guided first run through the park.
"This summer will be an exciting one here in the Burke Bike Park as we set to work bringing dreams and visions to reality,” said Alex McAndrew, Burke’s Director of Summer Operations. “Our trail crew has worked hard to get our park prepped and open while adding some exciting new updates to the classics. We'll be focused on reviving and refreshing our connections into the Kingdom Trails network, as well as revitalizing our own trails. It is truly a dream come true for me to be part of this incredible team! Whether you're riding through on your KT epic or a diehard park rider, we look forward to seeing you all this season.”
