The international winter sports industry is locked in to return to the high-altitude slopes of Kühtai. Organizers have finalized dates for the third annual SAZsport SnowTestival, scheduled to run from January 24 to 26, 2027.
Positioned at an elevation of over 2,000 meters in Tyrol's highest ski resort, the major B2B event has already completely sold out its exhibitor spaces months in advance, prompting organizers to expand the event layout to meet massive industry demand.
"Test, Talk, Trade" Ahead of the 2027/28 Season
Operating under the central motto "Test, Talk, Trade," the SnowTestival serves as a critical strategic touchpoint for European winter sports retailers. The mid-winter timing allows retail buyers, independent shop owners, and equipment specialists to thoroughly field-test the upcoming year's hard goods under real-world snow conditions before finalized buying deadlines approach.
The 2027 showcase features an expanded hard goods exhibition footprint right next to the Alpenrosenlift, highlighted by a dedicated, specialized ski boot testing tent. Retailers will have direct, on-mountain access to next winter's innovations across multiple segments:
Alpine Skis & Bindings
Ski Boots (with custom fit and performance assessment)
Backcountry & Ski Touring equipment
Premium Accessories (including goggles, helmets, and gloves)
Expanding the Retail Ecosystem
The B2B testing platform has seen explosive momentum since its inception. The second edition, hosted in January 2026, drew more than 800 participants representing 263 distinct retail operations to the Tyrolean Alps.
SnowTestival Retail & Product Scope:
Target Order Window: Winter 2027/28 Season Planning
Operational Setup: 60-minute maximum product testing loops

While the event continues its core strategic partnerships with buying giants Sport 2000 and Intersport Germany, organizers have reiterated that the test site is built for the broader European market. Independent ski shops, buying groups, and international retail members are explicitly invited to participate in the on-snow testing pools and networking forums.
