The Austrian Ski Federation has set its course for the future: Jan Überall from Kitzbühel, who has many years of leadership experience in national and international skiing, will be the new Secretary General. After studying sports science at the University of Innsbruck, he began his career at the Kitzbühel Ski Club, where he has served as Secretary General since 2015. Since 2024, he has also been responsible for the organizational and economic development of one of the world's most prestigious winter sports events as Managing Director of the Hahnenkamm Races.
Jan Überall has been the General Secretary of the Kitzbühel Ski Club since 2015. On September 1st, the 38-year-old will take over the operational management of the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) and thus succeeds Christian Scherer, who is leaving the ÖSV in the autumn after six years at the head of the association at his own request.
Through his roles in various FIS committees and his work as Vice President of Club 5 – the association of leading alpine World Cup organizers – Überall has a broad international network and in-depth knowledge of the structures and market mechanisms of skiing.
