World Pro Ski Tour Tenney Pro Open Results Day 1, Mazda Spirit Award Presented

The Tenney Pro Open presented by Mazda brought a full day of head-to-head Super Slalom racing to Tenney Mountain, where bluebird skies set the stage for nonstop action and electric energy from first run to final.

Under classic bluebird skies and firm, fast conditions, the bracket format pushed athletes through a demanding progression of heats, rewarding consistency and clean, aggressive skiing.

In a standout final matchup, Filip Forejtek claimed victory after a hard-fought battle against Gray Flanagan. Both skiers pushed the pace, but Forejtek’s clean execution and speed through the transitions secured the win in front of an energized crowd.

World Pro Ski Tourrookie, Luke Kearing earned a well-deserved podium finish with consistent, powerful skiing throughout the day, while Keegan Burke completed the top four after an impressive run through the bracket.

From the opening heats to the final showdown, the intensity never let up.

The World Pro Ski Tour extends a sincere thank you to Tenney Mountain for hosting an incredible event and to all of their sponsors and partners who help make these competitions possible. Most importantly, thank you to the athletes who delivered world-class performances and to the fans whose energy made it a day to remember!

Great racing from everyone today — congrats to the winners and to every athlete who gave it their all. Tomorrow is a brand-new day and another shot at the top.

At the Tenney Pro Open Presented by Mazda, competition extended beyond the racecourse, celebrating not only elite performance but the character and sportsmanship that define the spirit of the sport.

Rooted in Mazda’s guiding philosophy of Omotenashi — the spirit of wholehearted hospitality — the Mazda Spirit Award recognizes an athlete who exemplifies sincerity, respect, and selfless leadership. Omotenashi means anticipating the needs of others, acting with authenticity, and giving one’s very best without expectation of recognition.

The Mazda Spirit Award is not determined by the fastest time on the clock. Instead, it honors the competitor who elevates those around them — who shows respect in the start gate, grace in the finish area, and genuine care for fellow athletes, staff, volunteers, and fans.

At this year’s Tenney Pro Open, that spirit was embodied by Nora Brand and Alex Birkner, who were named recipients of the Mazda Spirit Award.

Their professionalism, sportsmanship, and commitment to uplifting the competition reflect the very best of alpine racing and the values at the heart of both the Tenney Pro Open and Mazda.

As the Tenney Pro Open Presented by Mazda continues to grow, the Mazda Spirit Award stands as a powerful reminder that how we compete matters just as much as how fast we race.

The World Pro Ski Tour is a professional dual slalom circuit format featuring the world’s fastest men and women alpine ski racers competing head-to-head for a large purse prize. Combining world-class competition, fan engagement, and destination events, the WPST continues the legacy of professional ski racing in North America with modern energy and global reach.
