Winterplace Announces February Apres-Ski Events & Slope Specials

Snow enthusiasts can find plenty of fresh powder and slopeside fun at Winterplace Ski Resort all February long. Winter Storm Fern recently blanketed the mountain, creating prime conditions for skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and enjoying heart-healthy recreation in the great outdoors. Home to West Virginia’s largest snow tubing park and more than 90 skiable acres, Winterplace is keeping the winter vibes rolling with a craft beer showcase, family festival, weekly park sessions and special ticketing deals throughout February.

“Whether Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow or not, families can enjoy all that winter has to offer at Winterplace,” said Josh Faber, general manager of Winterplace Ski Resort. “Thanks to our early snowmaking efforts and help from Winter Storm Fern, our slopes are covered in fresh powder and in prime condition, making it a great time to get outside, stay active and take advantage of the Apries-ski events we have planned this month.”'

With variable weather conditions and occasional cooler temperatures expected in the West Virginia mountains, Faber recommends monitoring the resort's snow conditions online before heading out. He also advises snow enthusiasts to dress in layers and take regular warm-up breaks as needed to stay comfortable and make the most of their time on the slopes.
