The first LEITPILOT installation in Scandinavia goes ahead
27/February/2026
In Trysil, Norway’s largest ski area, a brand‑new GD10 Trysilgondolen by LEITNER is taking shape — and it’s packed with innovation.
Equipped with LEITPILOT for autonomous station operation, DirectDrive for maximum energy efficiency, and 20 event cabins featuring lighting and tables, the new gondola is built to deliver top performance all year round.
The new gondola is the largest single investment in the history of both Trysil and SkiStar - a milestone for the development of Trysil and an enhancement of the skiing experience for guests.
"We are very pleased to be able to realize this major project, which is part of our long-term plan for the development of our destinations. The new gondola sets a new standard for the guest experience in Trysil and is an investment for the future and strengthens our competitiveness in the alpine industry," says Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of SkiStar.
