program for the 35th Tourism Forum Alpine Regions is complete.

It was discussed, refined, discarded, and rethought. Now it's ready: The program for the 35th Tourism Forum Alpine Regions is complete.

From April 13th to 15th, 2026, the meeting will take place in Lech Zürs am Arlberg – a place that symbolically represents what unites many of the TFA topics: a sense of reality, responsibility and decision-making under alpine conditions.

Where others debate, the mountain decides. And that's exactly where we come together.

Lech Zürs am Arlberg is a place where ideas have always been measured against feasibility. Here, the Tourism Forum Alpine Regions 2026 gathers to further develop ideas on the inextricably linked nature of snow, tourism, cable cars, nature, and entrepreneurial responsibility.

From the program,  you can expect practical insights from science, business management and alpine reality, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Thomas Bieger, University of St. Gallen: Does traditional tourism have a future – and how can mountain railways maintain their social legitimacy?

  • Benedicta Aregger, Swiss cable car companies. Compass Snow – how ski resorts approach investment decisions in an interdisciplinary way and rethink them

  • Reto Gurtner, Weisse Arena Group : After the sale of the facilities of Weisse Arena AG: Alpine tourism in the tension between local roots and global consolidation

The forum is complemented by forum tours that deliberately leave the plenary hall and show how strategy, technology, mobility and alpine hospitality are concretely lived in Lech Zürs.

The complete program with all lectures, panel discussions, and tours is now available online.

Register now: The early bird rate is available until February 20, 2026.

We look forward to a TFA that provides guidance, opens up perspectives – and moves things forward.
