Outdoor Retailer Introduces OR Gatherings, Igniting Meaningful Industry Dialogue on the Show Floor

Outdoor Retailer, the central hub for the outdoor industry, is proud to announce OR Gatherings, a new series of small-group discussions debuting at the upcoming August show. Designed to move conversations beyond the trade show aisles, OR Gatherings offer a more personal environment where attendees can explore business challenges, professional development, and leadership topics in a focused setting. These intimate discussion series feature curated sessions with Basecamp Outdoor, creating space for in-depth conversations with industry leaders and tastemakers. Sessions will take place in the Basecamp Outdoor Lounge, a purpose-built space dedicated to connection and exchange.

In collaboration, Basecamp Outdoor and Outdoor Retailer will host a curated lineup of sessions bringing together voices from the outdoor, lifestyle, and action sports communities. Basecamp Outdoor contributes its expertise in convening values-driven networks and facilitating impactful professional relationships. OR Gatherings will be held Thursday, August 20, from 3:00–5:00 p.m., and Friday, August 21, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

All OR Gatherings are open to registered Outdoor Retailer attendees. Additional programming will be announced as the full education schedule comes together. Both OR attendees and industry-curious guests not attending the show may reserve a spot by pre-registering with Basecamp. OR Gatherings are supported through Outdoor Retailer’s show app, enabling participants to preview discussion topics, register in advance, and connect with peers ahead of the event.
