Hotel Nesslerhof redefining Alpine escapes for 2026.

Located in the heart of Austria’s Großarl Valley, Hotel Nesslerhof is redefining the Alpine escape for 2026. This five-star family-run spa retreat blends world-class skiing, transformative wellness, and elevated culinary experiences into one seamless, year-round destination, where adventure meets deep restoration in an atmosphere of modern luxury and warm Austrian hospitality.

Skiing at the Doorstep

Directly opposite the Kieserlbahn, Hotel Nesslerhof offers true ski-in, ski-out access to the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area, part of Ski amadé - Europe’s largest ski network. With 70 kilometres of groomed slopes and guaranteed snow from December to April, skiers of all levels are well catered for. Thoughtful touches elevate the experience, from pre-ordered ski equipment waiting in private lockers to après-ski at the new Sky Lounge Wolke 7, where panoramic views, DJ sets and classic Kaiserschmarrn set the tone before winding down in the spa.

Alpine Wellness & Retreats

Wellness is at the heart of Nesslerhof. Its 5,000-square-metre Luxury Spa features a saltwater outdoor infinity pool flowing into the indoor pool, an expansive sauna world, eight relaxation rooms, a yoga studio and fitness zone. Renowned for hosting exceptional retreats, highlights this year include restorative experiences led by Claire Boom and the Yoga & Herbs Retreat, which blends daily yoga and meditation with mindful herbal rituals in nature, cementing Hotel Nesslerhof as one of Austria’s most compelling spa destinations. Enhancing the sauna experience further, Hotel Nesslerhof’s in-house Sauna Master Ignaz, expertly guides guests through immersive sessions using sound and aromatic infusions. In November, the hotel will also host an Ice Bathing & Breathwork Retreat with Edith Aigner, where conscious breathing, targeted cold exposure and mindful movement work together to strengthen the entire system, all complemented by the full Hotel Nesslerhof Spa experience.

Culinary & Wine Experiences

Food and wine take centre stage at Hotel Nesslerhof, particularly during the Gourmet Ski Holiday & Ski & Wine Week (14–21 March 2026). Guests combine days on the slopes with evenings of Austrian wine tastings, five-course gourmet dinners with curated pairings, and relaxed fireside moments, an indulgent celebration of alpine cuisine, fine wine and mountain living.

Happiness Concierge

New for 2026, Hotel Nesslerhof, affectionately known as the ‘happiness hotel’, will be elevating their luxury hospitality through a renewed focus on emotional wellbeing, brought to life by its dedicated Happiness Concierge. Building on the hotel’s expansive spa offering, including panoramic pools, a natural swimming pond, themed saunas and more than 100 bespoke treatments, the Happiness Concierge will curate personalised moments designed to enhance each guest’s sense of joy, from candle-lit terraces for couples and endorphin-boosting ice bathing in the natural pond to mindful forest walks in the Hohe Tauern and cosy fireside rituals in the exclusive Pool Suite. Guests will also be guided toward simple Alpine pleasures, such as warm herbal infusions after winter hikes, sunrise yoga on the meadow, or family-friendly adventures including scenic toboggan routes and hidden viewpoints. Hotel Nesslerhof will offer the perfect setting, while the Happiness Concierge will provide the feeling, transforming a luxury stay into a deeply memorable and emotionally nourishing escape.

With its seamless blend of skiing, standout wellness and elevated gastronomy, Hotel Nesslerhof is set to inspire luxury travel to the Austrian Alps in 2026.
