FWT Competition Cancelled: Georgia Pro Kühtai - February 27, 2026
27/February/2026
Unfortunately, the FWT Organizers have decided to cancel today’s competition, the Georgia Pro staged in Küthai - Innsbruck, Austria.
While significant work was done to prepare the venue, the current conditions do not allow for a competition that would be both fair for all athletes and aligned with the safety standards required at FWT Pro level.
This decision was made after careful evaluation and was not taken lightly. Ensuring equal opportunity and appropriate conditions for performance, alongside athlete safety, remains a priority.
FWT would like to sincerely thank the Georgia, Kühtai and Innsbruck teams and all staff involved for their commitment and hard work.
Following the cancellation of the original Georgia Pro, this restaged event was intended to ensure that athletes retain the opportunity to compete for the points originally allocated to the stop. With the Fieberbrunn Pro still to come as the final event before the Cut, the Georgia Pro staged in Kühtai - Innsbruck, Austria represents a crucial moment in the season. The world’s best freeriders will be looking to secure valuable points and strengthen their position in the rankings as the race toward qualification for the second half of the Tour intensifies.
The competition was intended to take place on Schöffi’s Face in Kühtai, named after Austrian Freeride Champion Christoph “Schöffi” Schöfegger and co-founder of the Freeride Academy Innsbruck. Starting at 2,678 meters with a vertical drop of 455 meters, the face meets all FWT safety and operational standards.
With an East to North-East orientation in the upper section before turning South-East lower down, the venue offers multiple line options. Riders will face a steep upper pitch reaching 45 degrees before transitioning into a more open lower section averaging 33 degrees, encouraging creative and freestyle-oriented runs, while maintaining athlete safety.
