CORTINA SKIWORLD LAUNCHES A COLLECTIBLE PRESS KIT TO MARK THE 2026 GAMES
06/February/2026
In a symbolic year for the Italian mountains, Cortina Skiworld, the Consortium of Cableway Operators of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Auronzo, Misurina and San Vito di Cadore, presents a one-of-a-kind communication project: an artist’s press kit in leporello format, produced as a limited and numbered edition. The project comes to life through an exhibition hosted at the Cortina Dolomiti Lounge and through a special collectible mini-museum box.
A visual narrative that intertwines art, territory and sport, inspired by the magic of the Dolomites and their timeless character.
“The Queen of the Dolomites is experiencing a moment of extraordinary attention. For this reason, communication also deserved a unique project, capable of enhancing—through creativity and originality—the beauty of the territory and the energy that defines Cortina today”, explains Marco Zardini, President of Cortina Skiworld.
A media kit that becomes a work of art
The idea stems from the desire to transform a traditional media kit into an iconic, collectible object by embracing a universal language that transcends borders: art. The result is 800 numbered copies, signed by artist Marta Jorio, who reinterprets the light, colors and shapes of the Ampezzo mountains through her distinctive style, in a series of illustrated panels.
“This is a figurative yet realistic work that tells the story of the Dolomites, the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and above all the magic of the territory of the Queen of the Dolomites, through wide panoramas painted in tempera on paper. The simplicity of the image becomes a way to communicate the territory authentically. I am happy to have contributed to this project in such a special year for Cortina d’Ampezzo,” says Marta Jorio.
An artist and illustrator, Jorio focuses her research on the relationship between humans and nature, offering a contemporary and poetic vision of iconic places. In this project, art meets sport, revealing a new way of telling the territory’s story.
The press kit takes shape through ten illustrated panels: eight dedicated to the key themes of the season, and two marking the opening and closing of the journey. A visual path that shows how “Tomorrow Takes Shape” through connections, lifts and infrastructure, and celebrates “Sport and Legend”, from iconic descents to the historic Olympia delle Tofane.
The story continues with “A Hundred Years Among the Peaks”, weaving together memory and landscape through the phenomenon of enrosadira and the distinctive colors of the Dolomites. It then shifts to a more convivial atmosphere with “Après-ski Goes Gourmet”, where glasses are raised, flavors take center stage, and new openings come to life.
The narrative also makes room for “Winter Games Disciplines in Cortina” and for the joy of barrier-free snow experiences with “Everyone on the Slopes”, celebrating moments of pure fun and sharing. The journey concludes with a strong message of inclusion, as “The Mountain for Everyone: sNOw difference” becomes a story of emotions, people and reflections on the snow, before returning to Cortina “The Queen of the Dolomites” portrayed through sweeping views and the village’s timeless magic.
To complete the experience, each panel includes a QR code linking to bilingual (Italian/English) content, offering in-depth insights, curiosities and useful ideas for exploring the area.
The exhibition at Cortina Dolomiti Lounge and the mini-museum box
From the opening on 6 February through 22 February 2026, the original illustrations and preparatory sketches will be exhibited at the Alexander Girardi Hall, within the Cortina Dolomiti Lounge. The project is curated by Fondazione Cortina with the support of the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Province of Belluno and the Veneto Region, offering visitors a journey into the artistic process behind the creation of the media kit imagery.
The exhibition design was developed by Giampaolo Allocco for Delineodesign, curated by Alberto Pavan, and produced by Falegnameria Zanette. The structure translates the narrative of the artistic press kit into a spatial experience, guiding visitors through the works and creative materials while reinforcing the dialogue between design, territory and vision.
To conclude the experience, a gift: the mini-museum box, a small collection produced in 500 numbered and signed copies. An artistic box containing five miniature works, conceived as a collectible object for enthusiasts of Cortina, art and sport.
“This initiative is an invitation to look at Cortina with new eyes: through art, we can tell its identity and its history,” concludes Marco Zardini.
