Calag is preparing for the future and expanding its management team.

Calag Carrosserie Langenthal AG is strengthening its management structure and positioning itself even better for future challenges: As of January 1, 2026, the management board has been restructured and expanded from five to six members. This means that all key business areas – as well as quality management, human resources, organization, and administration – will now be directly represented at the management level.

With this expansion, the strategically important areas of quality and HR management are even more firmly anchored directly within the executive management team. René Meier, Head of Quality Management and Head of Signage, and Michael Reinhard, Head of Marketing and Services, are joining the management team.

New members of the management board

René Meier, Head of Quality Management and Labeling

René Meier has been with Calag since 2014. During this time, he has continuously developed the lettering department and successfully established it in the market for vehicle lettering and advertising technology.

Since October 2024, René has also been responsible for Calag's quality management, leading the QUMS team and serving as the system owner for the Calag Management Handbook. Our Management Handbook is far more than just a quality management system: it forms the basis for successful collaboration. Particularly with large orders and special projects, internal quality controls and audits are becoming increasingly important for Calag's long-term success. By integrating quality management into the executive management team, we are addressing this development and giving the topics of the Management Handbook, quality, environment, and safety the appropriate strategic weighting at the executive level. Furthermore, with this step, the Labeling business unit is directly represented on the executive management team by René.

Michael Reinhard, Head of Marketing and Services

Michael Reinhard has been with Calag since 2020. Starting in marketing, he has gradually taken on additional responsibilities in the areas of administration, HR and vocational training.

With Calag's growth, administrative tasks, marketing, and human resources have become increasingly demanding in recent years – not least due to the shortage of skilled workers. Effective January 1, 2026, Michael will additionally assume personnel management of the accounting department and join the management team as Head of Marketing and Services. This ensures that human resources and administration will be directly represented and strategically integrated within the management team.

Kurt Späti's resignation from the management board ; Finance

Kurt Späti has owned Calag since acquiring the company in 2004 and served as managing director until 2022. As part of a planned succession, he handed over operational management to his son Michael Späti in 2023. Since then, he has represented quality management, finance, and signage on the management board.

With the reorganization of the management team, Kurt stepped down from the management board at the end of 2025. However, he remains professionally responsible for finance and reports to Michael Späti in this capacity.
