Brundage Mountain Resort Is the Largest Northwest Ski Area to be 100% Open

Brundage Mountain Resort remains 100% open, with all terrain open and all chairlifts in operation, making it the largest ski resort in the Northwest currently offering full-mountain access across 1,920 acres.

Feb 2026 Fuchsia Smile.jpgWhile several ski areas across the west have paused operations, conditions at Brundage have allowed the mountain to stay fully open.

All five chairlifts plus a conveyor are spinning, and every run is available, giving skiers and riders plenty of room to spread out across groomed runs and popular off-piste zones. Consistent grooming and cold winter temperatures have helped maintain reliable conditions across the mountain, supporting the snow quality Brundage is known for throughout the region.

“It’s been a tough winter across the entire West,” said Ken Rider, general manager of Brundage Mountain Resort. “We want to spread the word that we’re in the great position here at Brundage Mountain heading into Presidents Weekend with the entire mountain open for our guests.”

$65 Lift Tickets for Season Passholders at Other Resorts

As the resort heads into peak February skiing, Brundage is reaching out to skiers and riders who may not be getting in many days at their home resorts. In honor of Brundage Mountain’s 65th season as an independently owned ski area, the resort is inviting season passholders from other mountains to experience Brundage during some of the best conditions of the winter.

Feb 2026.jpgThroughout the month of February, guests who hold a valid season pass from any other ski resort can ski Brundage for $65 with a special adult lift ticket. To qualify, guests must present their current season pass from another resort and purchase their ticket in person at the Brundage ticket window. The offer is valid every day in February except Saturdays.

“We’ve been independently owned for 65 seasons, and that independence shows up on the mountain every day,” Rider said. “From how we groom and manage snow to how our patrol team keeps the mountain safe and accessible, everything we do is about creating a great experience on snow. This is a chance for new skiers to come see the quality of the snow, enjoy uncrowded slopes and experience the kind of authentic Idaho ski culture that’s kept Brundage going for generations.”

Incoming Storms Expected to Drop Fresh Powder by Presidents Weekend

Slope conditions and terrain availability are especially important heading into Presidents Day weekend, traditionally one of the busiest periods of the season. Adding to the optimism, weather forecasts are beginning to show strong signals for incoming snowfall, with fresh snow now looking likely Sunday night into Monday (Feb. 9), and larger signals pointing toward continued storm momentum through the heart of February.
