Supersnow: Work is progressing at the Semenic ski resort in Romania.

Semenic is a prominent mountain peak and tourist destination located within the Semenic-Caraș Gorge National Park in Caraș-Severin County, southwest Romania. Known for hosting one of the longest-lasting annual snow layers in the country, it serves as a year-round hub for outdoor recreation, pivoting from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to mountain biking and hiking during the summer months. The winter sports area is nestled in the Southern Carpathians at a resort height of 1,330 metres, climbing to a highest lift point of 1,440 metres.

The resort features approximately 3.4 kilometres of slopes and 5.8 kilometres of designated ski routes served by 3 to 4 lifts. It includes beginner slopes, medium-level trails, and a notable long-distance piste that tracks all the way down into the nearby village of Văliug.Snow

Peak snow conditions traditionally occur in early to mid-February. The region records a healthy seasonal average of 120–150 cm of snowfall.

Every day, the Supersnow teams work hard under challenging conditions in the mountains to bring this ambitious project to life. Step by step, the foundation for a modern, year-round mountain paradise is being built here.

As part of this investment, SUPERSNOW is responsible for supplying a state-of-the-art snowmaking system. This system will supply approximately 15 kilometers of ski slopes and ensure reliable winter operations for the future Semenic ski resort. The system includes, among other things, 98 VIRGA snow lances – efficient, precise, and ready for deployment exactly where maximum reliability is crucial.

Semenic is more than just a ski resort project. It is a significant development for the Banat mountain region, a new opportunity for tourism in western Romania, and an important showcase project for modern snowmaking infrastructure in this part of Europe.
