Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe Begins Hiring for 2026-27 Winter Season Positions

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is now accepting online applications for all open positions for the 2026-27 winter season. Part-time and full-time seasonal positions, including weekend and holiday work are available in departments including lift operations, snow tubing, ticket sales, parking, food service, ski and snowboard school, and more. Not all positions require candidates to ski or snowboard.

“We’re looking for people who want to work hard, have fun, and deliver high quality guest experiences all season long,” said Mike Pierce, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing director. “Working in the ski industry and in a mountain environment like Mt. Rose offers incredible perks that go far beyond competitive wages. This is a fun work atmosphere that is likely to be one of the most fun jobs—or careers—anyone can have.”

Mt. Rose’s self-imposed average starting wage of $16 includes employees in nearly all departments. Most entry level positions earn $4 above the $12 per hour mandated minimum wage in Washoe County, Nevada.

Competitive wages are just one of the many perks offered to Mt. Rose employees. Being part of the Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe team also includes free skiing and snowboarding all season long for staff (full-time staff also receive a guest pass). Other staff perks include free lessons and equipment rentals, plus discounts on retail items and resort food outlets. These benefits add to the appeal of this local favorite resort and contribute to a like-minded team spirit that brings returning staff back year-after-year.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe offers one of the longest seasons in the region, and the most convenient access from Reno and North Lake Tahoe, with affordable lodging and carpool opportunities available to employees.

Just 25 minutes from Reno, Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe’s convenient location and outstanding terrain make it a locals’ as well as visitors’ favorite. Rose can boast Lake Tahoe’s highest base elevation at 8,260 feet ensuring supreme snow conditions even on the warmest spring days and the resort’s 1,200 acres feature an ample variety of runs ideal for every level of skier & snowboarder. The legendary Chutes offer 1,500 vertical feet of north / east facing extreme terrain with some of the longest continuous vertical in North America (40 to 55 degree runs for over 1000’). Wildslide Tahoe is now part of the Mt. Rose experience, with the largest snow tubing park located just ¾ of a mile west of the Mt. Rose main lodge.
