Deuter Teams Up with Ötztaler Radmarathon for Third Year, Highlighting Sustainable Gear in Starter Packages
24/August/2026
As elite endurance cyclists prepare for one of Europe's most grueling road events, outdoor brand Deuter is returning for its third consecutive year as an official partner of the legendary Ötztaler Radmarathon.
When the 45th edition of the race kicks off on August 30, 2026, in Sölden, all 4,000 participants from more than 40 nations will receive an exclusive Infiniti Roll Bag included in their starter packages.
Combining High-Alpine Endurance with Sustainable Design
The partnership showcases Deuter's commitment to circular manufacturing through its Infiniti series. The bags are crafted using fully functional residual materials left over from regular main production cycles, effectively transforming manufacturing surpluses into durable new gear.
According to Deuter, the initiative has repurposed 26,200 yards of excess material to date, keeping usable textiles out of landfills and significantly curbing overall material consumption.
The eco-friendly mission extends beyond production. Deuter collaborates with 1% for the Planet to support vetted environmental initiatives, donating ten percent of the revenue generated from the Infiniti series to the One Earth – One Ocean association, which actively combats water pollution.
A Legendary Alpine Challenge
The collaboration pairs Deuter's cycling footprint with one of the most demanding amateur sport events in the world. The Ötztaler Radmarathon challenges riders across a punishing 227-kilometer route featuring 5,500 meters of vertical elevation gain.
Participants face four iconic Alpine mountain passes:
Kühtai Pass
Brenner Pass
Jaufenpass
Timmelsjoch (the final historic ascent)
Having allocated its limited entries via a lottery system since 2008, the historic race continues to draw premier amateur talent and cycling enthusiasts to the Austrian Alps.
