BOA TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCES THE NEW H5 DIAL PLATFORM & EXPANDS BOA PerformFit Wrap SOLUTIONS TO ENABLE SNOWBOARDERS TO RIDE WITH GREATER POWER & CONTROL.

BOA Technology is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the rollout of its next-generation H5 dial platform and an expanded integration of its BOA PerformFit Wrap system. The new hardware brings micro-adjustable, multi-directional functionality to snowboard boots for the first time, enabling riders to adjust fit on the fly with unprecedented precision.

Founded in Steamboat, Colorado, in 2001, BOA introduced its first-ever dial-powered snowboard boot to replace traditional lacing systems. Over two and a half decades, the company has expanded into cycling, alpine skiing, trail running, golf, and workwear, dialing in nearly 300 million athletes and workers across more than 80 countries.

"BOA's journey started in Steamboat, Colorado, in 2001, disrupting snowboard boots by delivering superior fit, performance, and an enhanced experience for riders," said Shawn Neville, CEO of BOA Technology. "Twenty-five years later, BOA has now dialed in almost 300 million athletes and workers in over 80 countries, in partnership with leading sports and premium brands globally."

The flagship innovation of the Fall/Winter 2026 release is the H5 dial platform. Borrowed from advancements in cycling and alpine ski categories, the H5 brings multi-directional adjustment to snowboarding. Riders can rotate the dial clockwise or counterclockwise for sub-millimeter tightening or loosening without having to release tension completely.

To streamline adjustments on the slope, the H5 platform incorporates a mirrored user experience. Side-mounted dials rotate forward to tighten, while tongue-mounted dials rotate inward, ensuring consistent operation regardless of placement. Boots configured with dual or triple H5 dials provide independent zonal adjustability across the cuff, instep, and forefoot.

Professional athletes have quickly embraced the tech. "Multi-directional dials are a game-changer for finding a precise fit," said Sage Kotsenburg, 2014 Olympic gold medalist and K2 athlete. "H5 really is the future of snowboard boot tech.

When paired with BOA PerformFit Wrap configurations, H5 supports a more connected snowboard boot fit through precise adjustments across the foot, ankle, and lower leg. BOA PerformFit Wrap uniformly wraps key areas of the boot to lock down the heel, increase midsole connection, and distribute pressure evenly across the cuff and midfoot, delivering a superior fit and proven performance advantages.

Recent BOA Human Performance Fit Lab (HPFL) findings reinforce these advantages, showing that compared to traditional snowboard boot laces, BOA PerformFit Wrap solutions deliver up to 4.5% improved power transfer and up to 9% improved stability and control. Together, these benefits help elite snowboarders create a stronger connection between the rider and their board, enabling quicker energy transfer, sharper responsiveness, and improved edge control across a wide range of terrain and riding styles.

The H5 launch and BOA PerformFit Wrap expansion mark the next chapter in BOA's snowboard story, joining innovations such as independent zonal adjustability, patented Coiler technology, and bayonet and cartridge release functionality. Together with BOA's commitment to world-class quality, durability, performance, and more sustainable product design, these advancements help riders start their day better and finish even stronger.

INTRODUCING THE H5 DIAL PLATFORM - MULTI-DIRECTIONAL, PRECISION FIT

BOA's all-new H5 dial platform provides a micro-adjustable, multi-directional user experience that is engineered for precision fit through instant tightening or loosening on the fly.
