South Tyrol's "Cable Car Summer 2026" will take you to new heights.

In the summer of 2026, all holders of a südtirolmobil pass will travel to the mountains at a lower price – a joint promotion by südtirolmobil and the Association of Cable Car Operators of South Tyrol.

Around 70 cable car companies are once again offering all Südtirolmobil Pass holders a minimum discount of 30 percent on single tickets for ascents and descents this summer. The new edition of the "Cable Car Summer 2026" campaign was presented at a press conference in Bolzano on April 8th by Provincial Councillor for Mobility Daniel Alfreider, Joachim Dejaco, Director General of STA – Südtiroler Trasportstrukturen AG (South Tyrolean Transport Structures Ltd.), Helmut Sartori, President of the Association of Cable Car Operators of South Tyrol, and Gunde Bauhofer, Director of the Consumer Center of South Tyrol.

The cable car summer of 2026 can be enjoyed by all those who possess a SüdtirolMobil Pass or order a new one by the deadline of April 17, 2026. "Cable cars are ideal means of transport for reaching our beautiful mountain landscape. This promotion encourages sustainable mobility and at the same time offers SüdtirolMobil Pass holders significantly reduced prices," says Provincial Councillor for Mobility Alfreider.

As STA Director General Joachim Dejaco reports, around 70 cable cars will be participating again in the summer of 2026.

Helmut Sartori, President of the South Tyrolean cable car operators, emphasizes: "This campaign has proven successful. As an association, it is particularly important to us to invite all South Tyrol Mobility Pass holders to explore South Tyrol's mountain world comfortably and sustainably with our cable cars."

Gunde Bauhofer, director of the South Tyrol Consumer Center, emphasizes the positive response to the campaign: "We are pleased that the initiative is now taking place for the third time and that the number of participating lifts is increasing."

Participating lift and cable car companies

Participation in the promotion is voluntary for lift operators each year, and the costs are borne by the respective operators. 2,026 lifts are participating in the Val Badia, Val Venosta, Bolzano, Val Wipp, Brunico, Val Ahrn, Val Pusteria, Bressanone, Merano, Val Gardena, and on the Alpe di Siusi – thus covering all parts of the province. A list of all participating lift and cable car companies can be found on the website www.suedtirolmobil.info/en/seilbahnsommer2026. Cable cars already integrated into the South Tyrol Mobility Pass (Ritten cable car, Mendel funicular, Kohlern, Mühlbach-Meransen, Vöran, and Mölten cable cars) are excluded from the promotion.

Participation is also possible digitally

Anyone who owns a Südtirolmobil Pass and received a sticker last year can also use it in 2026. Those who have removed the sticker or did not receive one by mail last year can request a new sticker at the Südtirolmobil information points or alternatively download a personal digital voucher. The discount is only valid if the voucher, along with identification and the Südtirolmobil Pass, is presented at the ticket offices of participating lift and cable car companies.

Anyone who does not yet have a Südtirolmobil pass and wants to enjoy the cable car summer of 2026 can order a pass online at https://myportal.suedtirolmobil.info/ or at the Südtirolmobil information points until the deadline of Friday, April 17, 2026 .
