Snowboarding Legend John Jackson Joins Gordini Athlete Team
13/April/2026
Gordini, a leader in outdoor accessories and innovation since 1956, announces that John Jackson, widely known as “John J,” has joined the brand’s ambassador team. Based in the Sierras, Jackson joins Julian Carr, Delilah Cupp, Rafael Pease, Celeste Pomerantz and Michael “Bird” Shaffer as a Gordini athlete.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Jackson has helped shape modern snowboarding. From topping podiums to achieving “Rider of the Year” status to features in dozens of snowboarding films, Jackson continues to influence today’s top riders and travel the globe in search of his next big project. His prolific film career includes early breakout parts in “Hifi” (2000) and “The Empire” (2001), as well as an iconic run with Standard Films, Forum, and Brain Farm, with his riding consistently raising the bar. Standout projects like “That’s It, That’s All, The Art of Flight,” and his deeply personal Red Bull series “The Book of John J” showcased not just technical progression, but an evolving relationship with the mountains and the pursuit.
“John J rides at the highest level. He continues to be one of the most relevant and respected riders, even while the sport of snowboarding is ever changing,” said Brett Wagenheim, Gordini marketing director. “His presence on our Gordini Team of athletes is incredibly fitting given his stand-out creativity and authenticity. John has earned a reputation as a rider’s rider: someone who prioritizes his relationships, progress in sport, and respect for the mountains themselves. We are honored that he has officially joined our Gordini community.”
John J currently resides in Verdi, Nevada, with his wife and daughters. His favorite Gordini styles at the moment are the Polar Glove, Front Line Midi and the PYCO socks.
Gordini’s extensive collection of ski, snow, and lifestyle gloves, alongside its award-winning performance socks for skiing, hiking, and everyday wear for men and women, comes in a range of weights and styles.
Based in Vermont and independently owned, Gordini has focused on the same mission since its founding in 1956: to keep you warm and dry so you can stay outside longer. Gordini believes that handwear, socks and goggles are not merely accessories – they are equipment and should be built to endure the most demanding conditions, season after season. Gordini, a bluesign® System Partner, honors its commitment to people and the planet by focusing on innovations that solve for the challenges we face. Gordini is an ISPO Award 2023 winner in the performance sock category. The Winhall Ski Sock was recognized for its exclusive fit technology.
