Record year for the HTI Group
28/April/2026
The HTI Group closed 2025 with a turnover that was €221 million higher than the previous year. President Anton Seeber: "This is a significant result that once again rewards and confirms our entrepreneurial vision of innovation, internationalization, and diversification." At the same time, the group is already looking ahead to the most important developments for 2026.
The HTI Group is experiencing strong growth again. The 2025 annual report of the group – which operates globally in the fields of cable cars (Leitner, Poma, Bartholet), snow groomers, tracked utility vehicles and vegetation management (Prinoth and Jarraff), snowmaking systems and dust suppression systems (Demaclenko, Hkd and Wlp), wind energy (Leitwind), hydropower (Troyer) and digitalized ski resort management (Skadii) – shows a new record value of €1.622 billion. This represents an increase of 15.8% compared to the previous year.
This overall growth is accompanied by significant increases in both research and development investments and the workforce. While the number of employees has risen to 5,000 worldwide, the investments in research and development (€42.5 million) send a particularly positive signal for the current fiscal year and the future. The €3.3 million invested by the group in employee training is also having a positive impact.
43 percent of sales in the Alpine region; diversification as a recipe for success.
43% of the group's revenue is generated in the Alpine region, 26% in North America, 11% in Asia, and 9.5% in Central and South America. The cable car division continues to account for the largest share, at 60% of the group's revenue. In 2025, over 80 new cable cars were installed, over 1,000 snow groomers and tracked utility vehicles, and over 2,000 snowmaking machines were sold. "Our strategy has once again proven successful. It is based on three pillars: diversification, internationalization, and innovation. Above all, it relies on the performance and expertise of our employees," commented HTI President Anton Seeber. "Last year in particular, we impressively demonstrated our flexibility and adaptability as a group. This flexibility is no accident, but rather the result of a clear strategic direction and a corporate culture that emphasizes resilience, personal responsibility, and tangible results."
Strong growth in the cable car sector
For cable car companies, 2025 was a year of superlatives. Leitner, Poma, and Bartholet completed projects in Spain, Norway, Argentina, Colombia, China, Japan, Vietnam, Algeria, and Madagascar, among other countries. Leitner celebrated a particularly strong return to the Italian market, where 18 installations were modernized last season, representing a total modernization volume of [amount missing in original text].
85 million inaugurated – from Abruzzo through the Aosta Valley to Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Trentino, South Tyrol and Friuli. Furthermore, Leitner, in collaboration with Melinda, realized the apple cable car "Funivia delle Mele" in Trentino.
The group once again demonstrated its expertise in top-level sports. As part of the construction projects for the 2026 Winter Olympics, a Leitner cable car system and Demaclenko snowmaking technology were supplied for the ski jump in Predazzo (Val di Fiemme, Province of Trento). At the same time, last May at Interalpin, the group presented a major contract worth €53 million for the Norwegian Alpine Ski World Championships in Narvik in 2029. Leitner, Prinoth, and Demaclenko will supply their top innovations in winter sports technology for this event.
In 2025, Prinoth introduced the Panther XL tracked transporter for extreme missions in Antarctica. Designed for use in the world's harshest conditions, the vehicle supports the Norwegian Polar Institute in expanding its historic research station in Troll.
Leitner Poma of America built 16 new cable car systems in North America, and last autumn Poma launched “Angelo” in Ajaccio, Corsica, the fourth urban cable car in France, thus introducing a new form of mobility on the island.
For the digitalization specialists at Skadii, the summer of 2025 was marked by a true revolution: Starting with the ski resorts, the company's proprietary technology is now also serving tourist destinations thanks to the new visitor frequency monitoring.
The year 2025 also brought significant company news: The addition of HKD Snowmakers to the group, a company specializing in technical snowmaking with branches in the USA and Canada, strengthens HTI's presence in the North American market.
Positive outlook for 2026 – focus on innovation and efficiency
The year 2026 will be marked by numerous projects, with construction starting or initial completions expected in the coming months. Among the most significant projects is the nearly six-kilometer-long "Cervino The One" cable car in the "Cervino Ski Paradise" ski area in the Aosta Valley. Leitner will build two new tricable gondola lifts here, connecting Cervinia (Italy) with the Plateau Rosa on the border between Italy and Switzerland. The company will also be active in Mexico for other international cable car projects. Four projects in Morelia and Naucalpan, as well as two new cable bus lines in Mexico City, are currently in the planning stages.
This year, cable car manufacturer Bartholet is finalizing a particularly prestigious project in India. The country's first urban cable car is currently under construction in Varanasi and will soon revolutionize the metropolis's transportation system. The group's construction program also includes a cable car in the Himalayas (India) and a record-breaking triple-cable gondola lift designed by Poma in Vietnam.
In the wind energy sector, Leitwind is focusing its attention this year on Turkey with the world's first 2.0 MW turbine, the LTW90, while Demaclenko recently presented its new Titan 5.0 snowmaking system. This system can produce more snow of higher quality, especially at critical temperature thresholds, while consuming significantly less energy. There's also exciting news from Prinoth: The company recently unveiled the Panther T23r in Las Vegas, the largest and most technologically advanced tracked snow groomer with a rotating turret in the industry. Furthermore, at the international "Mountain Planet" trade fair in Grenoble, the company will unveil a new electric snow groomer that takes performance and sustainability to a new level.
