Doppelmayr Group Will Once Again Present Its Innovations At "Mountain Planet" In Grenoble
10/April/2026
From April 21 to 23, 2026, the Doppelmayr Group will once again present its innovations at the "Mountain Planet" trade fair in Grenoble, France. The ropeway experts will showcase numerous advancements from a wide range of disciplines at booth 1531 in Hall 1. Visitors can learn about AURO with its latest development, AURO Assist, the TRI-Line ropeway system, the Connect control system, and the latest digital services for customer service, as well as the clair resort management platform. Custom-designed cabins from current flagship projects and the Bike Cab for bicycle transport complete the experience at the booth.
Comfortable: Cabin experiences
At the Doppelmayr Group's booth at Mountain Planet 2026, visitors will get a unique impression of the latest cable car highlights. They can take a seat in the newest cabin model, STELLA, designed for Hoch-Ybrig (CHE), or experience the exceptional features of the OMEGA V-10 XL, which is already part of the public transport network of the Câble C1 urban cable car in Île-de-France, near Paris (FRA). The ATRIA cabin for Grand Montets (FRA) is also sure to attract attention.
Autonomous: The AURO success concept
The Doppelmayr Group has launched a milestone for the industry with AURO (Autonomous Ropeway Operation), the autonomous operating concept for cable cars. Based on experience gained from numerous projects, the system is continuously being developed. The latest advancement is AURO Assist – a support system at the valley station of chairlifts that uses AI to analyze passenger boarding behavior. This ensures that only chairs with correctly seated passengers are allowed on the lift. After an intensive testing phase, AURO Assist was presented for the first time at the INTERALPIN trade fair in Innsbruck and has been in operation on the first chairlifts since the 2025/26 winter season.
Record-breaking: TRI-Line drive
The TRI-Line is Doppelmayr's latest and most innovative 3S technology. It combines the advantages of the three-cable system with those of the D-Line cable car generation. The heart of the cable car system is the newly developed, eight-roller carriage. The TRI-Line is a true all-rounder in all areas of application: long cable spans, significant elevation differences, high wind stability, and an unparalleled transport capacity of 8,000 people per hour in each direction are among its key characteristics. And all this with a small footprint thanks to its compact design. Visitors to Mountain Planet 2026 can see the carriage of the new system up close at the Doppelmayr Group's booth.
Summer operation: Bike transport
With the Bike Cab, Doppelmayr is bringing the most elegant way to transport bicycles by gondola lift to the trade fair in France for the first time. Up to eight bikes can be transported in one Bike Cab – visitors can try it out for themselves.
Customer-focused: Next-level service
With increased transparency and efficiency, as well as improved communication with the customer service team, the Doppelmayr Group's newly developed customer portal marks a milestone in collaboration. Significant progress has also been made in customer training. Digital Training makes ropeway knowledge available anytime, anywhere – simple, efficient, and up-to-date.
Digital: clair as an app.
As a digital assistant, clair supports the management of operations and maintenance in a resort. The platform solution centrally consolidates a resort's infrastructure and provides operators with tools to increase the reliability and availability of their facilities. With the new clair app, the proven web-based solution is now optimized for mobile devices, making it accessible anywhere. Visitors can get an overview of clair's capabilities at the Doppelmayr Group's booth.
Connected: Connect Cabin
Connect is the reliable control system of the Doppelmayr Group. It offers numerous functional advantages and, with its intuitive and user-friendly operation of the cable car, prioritizes the needs of the users. Naturally, in addition to the station and route, a key focus is on the passenger area – more precisely, the cabin. Functions such as communication, lighting, ventilation, and infotainment features offer many options for customizing the cabin's interior. Ideally, these are integrated and centrally connected to the cable car control system.
City Cable Car Solutions – 3CS
This year, Mountain Planet is focusing on cable cars as an innovative solution for the development of urban mobility with its City Cable Car Solutions (3CS) congress format.
