In preparation for the new season, Quebec ski resorts are continuing their efforts to offer distinctive mountain experiences, modernize their facilities, optimize snowmaking systems, enhance their learning areas, develop their accommodation options, and reduce their environmental footprint. From east to west and north to south, skiers and snowboarders will find a host of new features this winter, including modern facilities, new services, and several innovations, particularly for beginner skiers and snowboarders.
Winter 2025-2026 will also mark the arrival of new activities, festive events and significant improvements in several ski resorts, particularly in the chalets, ski lifts and service areas.
Priorities for accessibility and beginners
Several stations are investing in:
- New training slopes and improved beginner areas
- New magic carpets
- Progressive courses and contoured tracks to facilitate learning
- Rental facilities have been updated to accommodate more new users.
These efforts support the provincial mission to develop the next generation and democratize sliding sports.
Concrete actions in sustainable development
The stations are intensifying their transition:
- LED lighting
- Optimizing snowmaking systems for improved energy efficiency
- Environmental certifications (GreenStep, Ecocert, ICI on recycle, etc.)
- Installation of electric charging stations
- Reduction of waste materials, reusable tableware, composting, sorting at source, more sustainable mobility project to reduce GHG emissions associated with individual travel with the new inter-station carpooling application from GreenPlay - Let's carpool .
New features by region - 2025-2026 season
Lower St. Lawrence
- Development of mountain biking, fun trails and free beginner slope at Parc du Mont-Saint-Mathieu as well as four free beginner slopes and new EVduty charging stations at Parc du Mont-Comi .
Eastern Townships
- Mont-Orford : major renovation of the chalet (rooms, windows, furniture, bathrooms, etc.). Improvement of the Slalom Pub and addition of air conditioning, expanded offer for beginners and improved Sherbrooke-Orford shuttle service.
- Mont SUTTON : snowmaking system upgrades, addition of a new snow groomer, transition to a dual-energy boiler, and the addition of charging stations. The resort also joins the IndyPass network and enhances its offerings with a new geocaching trail and outdoor sculptures.
- Owl's Head : 60th anniversary - special programming to come!, expanded alpine hiking offering with new routes and festive events, joining the IndyPass network , winners in the Sustainable and Responsible Tourism category - business component at the Sustainable Tourism Excellence Awards with the Quebec Tourism Industry Alliance and obtaining GreenStep Gold certification!
- Bromont, mountain of experiences : opening of the Residence Inn Marriott (ski-in, ski-out), a new 3,000 sq ft boutique , 15 new snow cannons (for a total of 140), and the addition of a shuttle system to parking lot P4 and the base of the slopes, where the shuttle's location can be tracked in real time on digital screens. Parking lot P4 will also be equipped with a waiting area, restrooms, and an automated kiosk for retrieving ski tickets. The resort has obtained GreenStep Silver certification for sustainable tourism. The existing lighting on the Lakeside slope has been replaced with 850 LED lights, and a new mobile app has been launched.
Centre-du-Québec
- Gleason : replacement of lighting in six runs with LED lights. All their runs accessible in the evening will now offer improved and more energy-efficient lighting, automation of energy management with the implementation of an automated system to reduce and optimize their energy consumption, modernization and maintenance of infrastructure related to snowmaking and IT, development of a new reception area and a redesigned main staircase to facilitate and improve the arrival of their visitors and unveiling of the master plan of projects that will guide the development of their mountain.

- Purchase of the resort by new owners at the Mont Adstoc Recreational Tourism Resort

Gaspé
- Pin Rouge tourist resort : new beginner slope with magic carpet and modification of a mountain route to add a green run, modernization of snowmaking (75 new poles), technology transfer: addition of electronic gates to the ski lift, new fleet of rental equipment and expansion and redevelopment of premises.
Lanaudière
- Terrebonne Outdoor Group : two new conveyor belts, complete LED lighting for their three slopes and a new outdoor sound system.
Laurentians
- Saint-Sauveur summit \ Avila side : renovation of the SnoPrk on the Laurentides trail, addition of a "rope tow", reopening of two trails Grande Ourse and Piedmont, significant investment in rental equipment, Introplus learning zone course redesigned to offer an even easier course for beginners.
- Saint-Sauveur Summit : The Viking Odyssey becomes an immersive nighttime experience. The Summit Square will be transformed in the fall of 2026 into a four-season space blending nature, history, and innovation. Major improvements include: expanded LED lighting, new gates and AI testing on the Sommet Express chairlift, enhanced BlueCime system , the arrival of a high-performance snow groomer, and a complete renovation of the Pavilion terrace. Overall optimization of snowmaking systems across all mountains in the Les Sommets group.
- Gabriel Summit : New Undergrowth
- Mont Tremblant Resort : 25th anniversary of the 24h Tremblant, opening of Bistro Noor, complete renovation of the Westin rooms. World Cup on December 6 and 7.
- Mont Avalanche : opening of two new expert glades.
Mauricie
- Addition of a second magic carpet (uncovered) in the school slope and addition of a beginner snow park in the Forillon slope at Vallée du Parc.
Montérégie
- Ski Saint-Bruno : Expansion of the rental department (over 200 pieces of equipment) and addition of charging stations. Modernization of the slopes with all-LED lighting and a pilot project for automated snowmaking. The family area, including the Enchanted Forest, has been revamped, and new progressive courses and lessons for toddlers have been introduced.
- Mont Rigaud: In partnership with Tourisme Vaudreuil-Soulanges, a shuttle service will be established departing from the Vaudreuil train station and providing tours of the various attractions around Mont Rigaud throughout the day. Also included are the resurfacing of the central parking lot lane, the addition of streetlights, and the planting of trees.
Outaouais
- Camp Fortune : Night skiing on the Meech side is confirmed for the next season (2026-2027); LED lights will be installed on Paradis and North American. Continuous improvement of their snowmaking system's efficiency.
- Edelweiss Summit : The snowmaking system has been optimized with the addition of four snow cannons and 20 new fixed snow guns (a half-million-dollar investment). LED lighting has also been upgraded on some runs. The Easy-Street bar and restaurant has been completely renovated, and a new café and sandwich shop area will be added to the first level of the Summit's main pavilion. Finally, a new parking lot will be built closer to the slopes.
- Centre Vorlage : significant investment in their snowmaking system with new pumps, a new fan-assisted snow cannon, new poles, and additional piping. The undergrowth has also been landscaped.
Quebec
- Ski Le Relais : the resort celebrates its 90th anniversary this season! The "Le Boréal" glade area is being inaugurated with a giant xylophone, disco balls, and more. The Jack Rabbit Bistro has been renovated: more space, a better atmosphere, a new bistro menu, and new beer partnerships. The cafeteria will have a brand-new healthy menu, and there will be a new Genetik boutique. Reusable tableware has been added, and smart weather stations have been installed on half of their snow cannons to optimize water usage.
