Schlick 2000 Ski Area Starts The Winter Season With New Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch
05/January/2025
With the ceremonial inauguration of the new Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch the Schlick 2000 ski area started the 2024/25 winter season with a highlight. The modern, barrier-free restaurant, located right next to the mountain station of the Kreuzjochbahn, combines comfort with traditional Tyrolean hut flair. With a 360-degree mountain panorama, it offers the ideal place to stop for up to 200 guests.
"With the new Panorama Restaurant, we are setting a milestone for the Schlick 2000 ski area. The successful combination of modern comfort, barrier-free accessibility and traditional Tyrolean flair makes it a special place in the middle of the Stubai mountains. We are delighted to be able to open this highlight at the start of the 2024/25 winter season," emphasizes Martin Pittl, CEO of Schlick 2000, and adds: "The name Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch - in keeping with the fantastic panoramic view - will of course remain."
Panorama and enjoyment: versatile place to stop in the Schlick 2000
On November 30th, at the start of the season, the new Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch opened its doors for the first time. It offers a gastronomic concept that includes both a self-service area and a service area. The ground-floor, barrier-free new building combines tradition and modernity. Rustic style elements meet elegant design. A panoramic bar with glazed sliding elements rounds off the concept and allows you to stop by whatever the weather. Another feature is the large sun terrace with a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain landscape. The Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch wants to delight winter sports enthusiasts not only with its view, but also with its culinary offerings. Fresh Tyrolean specialties made from regional ingredients are served in the hut ambience and outside on the sun terrace.
Sustainably into the Future
Lukas Pittl, Managing Director of Schlick 2000, explains: "The sustainable aspects of the new building include the reuse and reinstallation of the demolition material due to the good building structure, the use of a sustainable wooden construction method and the planned installation of a photovoltaic system in spring 2025. This will ensure an annual energy production of 120,000 kWh, which corresponds to an emission saving of 48 tons of CO2 or the amount of CO2 that is absorbed and offset by around 3,000 trees per year."
