Pillerseetal "Markt Hoangascht" Re Launches With A New, Diverse Programme

For many years, the PillerseeTaler market days were a fixed point in the regional calendar of events. The popular weekly meeting place returns this year as “Markt Hoangascht” and with a new, diverse programme.

The PillerseeTaler market days have inspired locals and guests from near and far for many years. Last year, the popular series of events took a break due to the corona. "We also wanted to use the break to redesign the market days and increase diversity," explains Fides Laiminger, head of regional marketing. After many exciting conversations, the market days became "Markt Hoangascht" - a new concept with many innovative ideas. In addition to the classics such as fresh bread and baked goods, typical local products such as bacon, cheese or spirits, the extensive range of regional exhibitors this year will also include local vegetables, seasonal fruit, flowers and garden plants as well as decorative and sewing items. Visitors don't have to do without popular souvenirs, nor do they have to do without natural cosmetics, traditional costume accessories or toys. "The main purpose of the Hoangascht market is to bring people together," continues Laiminger. Therefore, a major focus will be on the culinary offer, a diverse entertainment and music program and varied workshops. Each appointment also has a thematic focus.

New event dates

The market days used to take place from the end of June to October, but in future the "Markt Hoangascht" will take place every 3rd Friday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The first date is already on May 20th and the market season does not end until December 16th with the Christmas Hoangascht. In addition to the previous event locations on the village square of Fieberbrunn and St. Ulrich am Pillersee, a market will also take place in Waidring for the first time this year.
